    SO GOOD,

If you're going here, there's one thing that you must get. FRIED CHICKEN. Holy moly this fried chicken is so good. From the sauce to the crunch, you're getting flavor and texture in every bite. This place beats any of the fried chicken places in SoCal. Don't be scared of the black noodles. These are really good as well. The wait wasn't too bad, maybe only 30 minutes for 6 people, but it was well worth the wait. The dumplings were okay, it's not the best dumplings I ever had. You can find better dumplings at a random dim sum restaurant. BUT THE FRIED CHICKEN. It all comes back to the chicken. If you're not here for the chicken, you're doing it wrong.

    That fried chicken!!!
    The black sesame noodles!!!
    The green beans!!!

    Get those!!!

We also got the 5 spice noodle soup which we will skip next time. We also got some dumplings which tasted like regular dumplings.

Anywho, I'll be dreaming of the food here...

San Tung is located in the Inner Sunset district.  I remember visiting my aunt who lived on the other side of Golden Gate Park starting when I was around 4.  I like how this area fairly quiet and not too far from the ocean.  During my early visits I loved how the fog rolled in from the ocean and covered the city.

San Tung's chicken wings are legendary and I came to try them.  Golden wings were covered in a sticky sauce with a bit of sweetness and a bit of spiciness.  Delicious mix of flavors from the batter, the sauce, and the chicken wings.  Chicken was tender and juicy.  These are the best wings I've found in San Francisco.

Cherry pork sounded interesting as I'm a huge cherry fan.  Sadly the fried pork had a lot of fat chewy parts.  This dish is prepared much like orange chicken but there is a lite cherry flavor instead of an orange flavor.  I loved the parts that weren't fat and chewy.

Ok so the service and decor definitely won't win any awards but this place is all about those delicious, sticky, gooey yet crunchy, sweet yet savory perfection that is the wings! That alone wins them 5*

Add to it great Jajang Myeon (Black Bean Noodles) and awesome garlic green  beans and the mantle stays strong.

I wasn't crazy about the dumplings or the corn and noodle soup.  Both dishes were kind of bland but they weren't bad.  Again. This is about the wings and all 5 stars go to the wings.

Also the wait is not as bad as suggested. We went at Prime time on a Sat and got in after about a 20 minute wait.

First time trying these chicken wings on my trip to San Francisco. I have to say they were delicious. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce that San Tung use to cover the chicken wing is great. I think they use that sauce in other dishes on their menu.

Green beans were okay. I think they were a bit overcooked.

All you need to know is come for the fried chicken wings and add a side of rice.

    Street parking only.
